Prom Rental FAQ

Are prom appointments required?

Yes. Appointments are required for prom shopping and walk-ins are not accepted. Due to high demand, appointments must be booked in advance on our website. A $50 deposit is required to secure your appointment and will be applied to your gown rental. Non-prom rentals do not require an appointment. Please only book an appointment if you are shopping for prom.

What’s included in the appointment?

Your 90-minute appointment includes both shopping and try-on time, with a fitting room reserved for the full duration. We recommend spending about 30 minutes shopping and 60 minutes in the fitting room. Our stylists will check in and assist as needed. Your $50 booking deposit applies to your rental.

What does my rental cover? How does the rental process work?

Once you choose your gown, we’ll reserve it at the front counter for your prom date. You may pay in full or split payment, and your $50 appointment deposit applies. Rentals are for 4 days, with pickup Thursday or Friday of prom weekend and return the following Monday. Return the dress on its hanger. No cleaning is required, as dry cleaning is included. If the gown is not returned or is damaged beyond repair, the full retail replacement cost will be charged.

Can I bring guests to my appointment?

Due to limited space, each prom shopper may bring up to two guests.

What if I don’t find anything?

No worries. Your $50 deposit becomes store credit that never expires and can be used for a future event or prom accessories. If you would like to return to shop for prom, a new appointment and $50 deposit are required

Will someone else wear my same dress to prom?

When you reserve a dress, it is tagged with your name, school, and reservation dates so it is unavailable to other shoppers. This helps ensure the same dress is not rented twice for the same dance, so please be sure to tell us your school.

Do you allow alterations? Will I have time for them?

Temporary alterations may be allowed with stylist approval. We do not offer in-house alterations, but we recommend a third-party seamstress with a 24–48 hour turnaround, paid directly by you. If additional time is needed, you may rent the gown earlier for an added daily fee.

What if I can’t decide or need more time?

We can place up to two dresses on hold for 24 hours if you need time to decide or get school approval. If you choose a dress, just give us a call and we’ll reserve it for you.

Can I change my dress after it’s reserved?

Yes. You may change your reserved dress up to two weeks before your event. A new appointment is required to try on additional gowns. If you switch dresses, you’ll pay the difference or receive store credit if the new gown costs less.

How often do you get new prom dresses?

We are not a traditional prom store, and our gowns are designed for multiple occasions and ages. Inventory rotates often, with most spring dresses arriving in March.

Can I cancel my rental?

Yes. Cancelled rentals are issued as store credit for a future event. If prom is rescheduled due to weather, we’ll try to move your rental, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

Is renting a good fit for me?

Rentals are a great option for wearing a stunning dress once at a lower cost. Gowns are gently worn and well maintained. If a dress is damaged before your event, we’ll replace it if possible or issue a full refund. Rentals may not be ideal if you need early pickup, major alterations, a brand-new dress, or cannot return the gown within the 4-day rental window.
